Getting started

How long does it take to set up caeloo?

A couple of minutes. A short setup walks you through your licence, your hours so far and the aircraft you fly, so your totals are right from your very first entry.

Can I bring hours over from my old logbook?

Yes. Enter your totals as previous experience during setup, or import a CSV file from a spreadsheet or another logbook app. Imported flights are previewed before anything is saved.

How long does logging a flight take?

Seconds. Times are entered in hours and minutes, the aircraft and route are remembered from your last flights, and night, IFR and function times are worked out for you.

EASA and compliance

Is caeloo an EASA compliant logbook?

Yes. caeloo follows the EASA FCL.050 record keeping requirements and exports a PDF laid out like the official paper logbook, with page totals carried between pages.

How is currency calculated?

From your own logged flights: 90-day passenger currency, night currency and instrument recency are tracked per aircraft category, and you get a reminder before they lapse.

Are simulator hours handled correctly?

Yes. Simulator sessions are recorded as FSTD time, kept out of your aircraft totals, and shown separately in exports exactly as they should be.

Does caeloo replace my paper logbook?

caeloo keeps a complete digital record and prints an EASA style logbook whenever you need one. Whether a paper copy is required is down to your authority and your operator.

Data and privacy

Who can see my logbook?

Only you. Every record is tied to your account, and your flights, documents and aircraft are never visible to anyone else unless you deliberately share an aircraft with a group.

Where are my documents stored?

Licences, medicals and aircraft documents are stored in private storage that only your account can read. Nothing you upload is public.

Can I export or delete everything?

Yes. You can export your logbook as CSV or PDF at any time, and deleting your account removes your data.

Subscriptions

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free covers flight logging and basic statistics for as long as you want. Pro and Owner add the tracking, reminders and fleet tools.

Is there a trial?

Pro and Owner both start with a free trial, once per account. You can cancel before it ends and you will not be charged.

What happens if I cancel?

Your logbook stays yours. The paid features lock, but nothing is deleted, and everything unlocks again if you resubscribe.

What is the Captain’s Pass?

A single payment that unlocks everything for good, including future updates. No subscription, no renewal.

Devices and offline

Which devices does caeloo run on?

iPhone, iPad and any modern browser. Your logbook syncs across all of them with the same account.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. You can log flights in the air or on a remote strip; entries are queued on the device and sync as soon as you are back online.

Do I get reminders?

If you want them. caeloo can notify you before a medical, rating or aircraft document expires, when a currency is about to lapse, and when a new AIRAC cycle starts.
