Is a digital pilot logbook accepted under EASA?

The short answer

Yes. FCL.050 asks for a reliable record of your flights, and the guidance accepts records kept in electronic form as long as they contain the required information. Expect to show a printout or export in the standard layout, and keep any signed paper pages as originals.

What an examiner will want

• Every flight with the standard columns, in hours and minutes
• Totals, ideally per page and carried forward
• Instructor and examiner signatures, on paper or recorded in the digital entry
• A way to show the record without your phone, usually a PDF

A note on local practice

National authorities differ in details, such as whether they want printed pages signed for a licence application. Check with your authority or training organisation before a skill test.
